JOB SUMMARY

Our client is a prominent supplier of maritime provisions and technical equipment, catering to the needs of vessels passing through Cape Town.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:

Minimum Qualification: NQF Level 4 qualification (Matric).
Experience: At least 5 years' experience as a Technical/ Provisions Buyer
Experience with accounting and stock management software, preferably Pastel Partner V.14, or willingness to learn new systems.
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, including basic formulae for calculations (e.g., summing columns, calculating line totals, exchange rate calculations, markup percentages).
Attention to detail is paramount, especially in matching units between quotations and system records.
Excellent time management skills are essential, given the fastpaced nature of the industry
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple quotes and orders simultaneously

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Prepare and submit quotations for orders, considering currency fluctuations (ZAR, USD, EURO) and pricing competitiveness.
Coordinate with suppliers to source and procure stock, ensuring availability and timely delivery.
Liaise with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and fulfill orders efficiently.
Handle administrative tasks related to sales and purchasing, including invoicing clients and updating stock records.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
A market related salary is on offer based on the level of responsibility for this role.
