ELECTRICIAN
R160 per hour

You will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will be responsible for providing electrical services by fault-finding, identifying repair and replacement needs, installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical systems and equipment; and ensuring that tools and materials are available and maintained to ensure long-term plant availability and reliability.

Due to standby duties you must reside in Atlantis and / or surrounds.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Trade Tested Electrician

Years post-Trade Test experience in an FMCG or Manufacturing environmentAdditional Requirements:

• Knowledge of Food Safety Policy & Procedures for Maintenance Personnel
• QMS, HACCP, and GMP Knowledge is advantageous.
• Must be in possession of a valid driver's license with own transport to be available for standby / shift work.
• Required to work overtime at short notice.
• Required to perform standby duties.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, test, connect, commission, maintain and modify electrical equipment, wiring, and control systems as required (PLC, drives, and control equipment).
• Perform electrical maintenance or remedial work according to work orders, and planned schedules, including during shuts.
• Complete fault finding on electrical systems during breakdown and effect the required repairs to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Perform tests on AC and DC motors to determine the condition of the motor windings, insulation, and core lamination.
• PLC knowledge will be advantageous.
• Performs any other assigned tasks that fall within the scope of an Electrician.
• Understand and comply with the safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) requirements of the section.
• Participate in the investigation of SHEQ incidents on request and help to identify root causes for nonconformance. Correct any deviations that relate to electrical maintenance.
• Always maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workplace, at all times.

Salary:
R160,00 per hour
