Qualifications and Experience:


Professor

  • Doctoral Degree in Law
  • At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field
  • At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and book publication
  • Evidence of supervision of at least 4 Masters/Doctoral students
  • Knowledge and expertise in the field of Jurisprudence and Legal Theory is an added advantage

Associate Professor

  • Doctoral Degree in Law
  • At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field
  • At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and book publication
  • Evidence of supervision of at least 4 Masters/Doctoral students
  • Knowledge and expertise in the field of jurisprudence and legal theory is an added advantage

Duties

  • To teach undergraduate and postgraduate students modules in the Department of Jurisprudence
  • To demonstrate exemplary leadership in the Department of Jurisprudence
  • To conduct research and supervise postgraduate students
  • To coordinate programmes, develop the curriculum and establish linkages with other academic institutions, government, nongovernmental organisations and community structures
