Gaming Compliance Officer to join their team in
Johannesburg.

You will be responsible for providing specialised licensing advice (music rights, gaming, and liquor licences), legal research and project management support on regulated matters to ensure the seamless implementation and operation of regulatory obligations across the businesses.

Your key
job responsibilities as the
Gaming Compliance Officer in
Johannesburg will include:

  • Conduct research into regulations and latest updates in gaming, liquor and music rights and other relevant legislation and provisions
  • Prepare communication updates for the Gaming Compliance Manager for distribution to business units
  • Provide research and administrative support for transactional work, project planning and tracking, as well as monitoring of compliance elements and processes of updates in the system
  • Provide research and administrative support for complaints and disputes
  • Assist in developing compliance tools, developing reporting templates, online questionnaires and surveys for RGP, Risk and Compliance
  • Develop and update the compliance repositories with articles, processes, and other relevant information
  • Assist in compiling quarterly board and management reports and distribute authorised reports to relevant parties
  • Coordinate and participate in Compliance Committee meetings, and prepare/distribute minutes
  • Coordinate and update the Compliance Calendar with key milestones and deliverables
  • Prepare reports, statistics and updates regarding legislative changes and conditions of licences that impact the business
  • Advise and assist Central HR with resolving employee licensing issue with gambling boards
  • Manage service provider contracts used by the department e.g., FICA training, POPI training, etc.
Requirements for this
Gaming Compliance Officer job in
Johannesburg:

  • BCOM, BCOM Law or LLB
  • A minimum of 6 years in corporate or legal compliance
  • Knowledge of gaming, liquor and other legislation relevant to their operations
  • Able to put carry an idea through from concept, to planning, initiation and coordination results
  • Legal Research
