Main Duties:


  • Identify and strategically evaluate commercially attractive opportunities to grow product pipeline
  • Highlevel evaluation of project attractiveness to the business (opportunity assessment).
  • Engagement with local and international 3rd party licensor companies, NPD companies to assess portfolio offerings
  • Negotiation on licensor/NPD agreements
  • Project profit & loss to determine and evaluate the commercial opportunities with the commercial heads to be included in the product pipeline.
  • Identify, monitor and manage the key strategic inputs for projects to ensure successful commercialization
  • Market research and extracted insights to inform assumptions for the P&Ls to ensure a viable launch of our product into market of interest
  • Attend all stakeholder engagements/ meetings relevant to the early planning stages in the strategic projects
  • Ongoing stakeholder meetings attended monthly. Project plan to reflect the key strategic inputs defined in the Commercial Evaluation.
  • Risk management: identify risks and perform scenario planning to mitigate to avoid unnecessary business / financial exposure
  • Evaluate and log the market risks in the financial 5year outlook for each project to maintain clear sight of the evolving commercial attractiveness of potential launches
  • Deliver on strategic milestones to successfully launch commercially and strategically important new products to grow Aspen's revenue
  • Ensuring successful commercialization of NPLs this is continuously conducted by identifying commercially attractive opportunities into 5 Year Financial Outlook.
  • Independently evaluate and identify portfolio opportunities to drive commercialisation of NPLs to ensure business continuation and growth.
  • The engagement would involve reporting and advising the Commercial Heads and CEO of potential opportunities while considering ROI.
  • Testing the existing processes from a strategic and commercial perspective and recommending modifications to continuously improve process efficiencies
  • Continuously identifying processes for automation purposes this will ensure accurate and faster turnaround time for reporting to all stakeholders.

  • Generate reports as required by the business

Qualification & Experience:


Matric

  • Completed tertiary degree (minimum 3 years) in one or more of the following: Health Sciences, Business or Marketing qualification.
  • 4 Years' experience working in a marketing function within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • An understanding of and exposure to the South African pharmaceutical markets including the SAHPRA regulatory framework and its impacts on business.
  • 1 to 2 years Project Management experience, coupled with a PM certification is an advantage
  • Effective business writing skills
  • Computer literate: Advanced Excel (including Pivot tables) and PowerPoint skills
  • Extensive experience in market analysis and trend evaluation
  • Good understanding of collaborative teamwork principals e.g. stakeholder management
  • Proven successful track record in pharmaceutical industry will be required.
  • Experience of having operated in a complex matrix organisation
