Description

Business Management:


  • Identify emerging markets and be fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Ensure that the sales department works cross functionally with other departments
  • Work closely with warehouse and finance managers to solve queries/disputes.
  • Work with management to devise and implement innovative gotomarket strategies
  • Achieve own sales target monthly
  • Assist branch manager with specials and promotions
  • Assist branch manager with references on new client terms accounts
  • Plan and lead weekly sales meetings. Attend monthly managers meetings
  • Attend required management/product training

Customer Management:


  • Build and promote strong, longlasting customer relationships through partnership and understanding their needs
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Liaise with customers on products required in market
  • Book sales orders on Syspro
  • Sign off credits to be processed to customer's accounts
  • Conduct customer visits on a weekly basis
  • Monitor customer preferences via KPI reports
  • Develop sales strategies to acquire new customers
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor their preferences.

People management:


  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programmes.
  • Hire and supervise sales staff and field sales representatives
  • Monitor production and achievement of sales quotas
  • Assist and support sales personnel and reps where necessary
  • Create incentive programmes
  • Prepare targets for each salesperson.
  • Monitor sales staff regarding daily and monthly sales targets.
  • Plan and coordinate training programmes for sales staff.
  • Coach individual sales representatives through oneonone sessions to improve sales performance.
  • Counsel, support, rate and discipline underperforming sales persons.
  • Ensure that sales technologies are used efficiently, such as KPI reports and Ignite system
  • Lead by example by displaying GI Values on a daily basis
  • Analyse sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps.

Salary:
R35, R40,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cape Town,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
