Job Summary:

Our client is a leading real estate investment and holding company who have established a strong portfolio of commercial, retail and industrial assets both Nationally and abroad.

To increase capacity in their Johannesburg based team, they are currently seeking a hardworking and commercially minded Development Professional who will work with the Asset Management team to ensure that all assets are kept relevant, marketable and innovative.

Whilst some greenfield projects are also probable over time, the focus on this fund's development team is on asset enhancement.

So you will be required to work with Asset Managers to understand and advise on upgrade and extention projects on large scale commercial, industrial and retail projects.

Finding viable solutions which make envisioned projects feasible will form the cornerstone of your role, which will have you building studies which showcase return on investment.

Reporting directly to the Regional Development Manager, you will be tasked with investigating, conceptualising and packaging development opportunities for the organisation and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within specified time, costs and quality requirements.

Some of your duties will include, but not be limited to:

To Investigate, conceptualise and package new property development opportunities within the owned portfolio
To identify and appoint professional consultants that complies with legislative and industry regulations.
To ensure that all processes, procedures and documentation is in place for submission of new developments to the committee for approval.
To ensure that all projects are delivered within the time, cost and quality parameters specified for the project.
To provide reports, support and advice to any other department within the organisation on matters that effects the Development department.
To ensure that all duties are executed in a professional and ethical manner

To qualify for this position, you will need to have:

A tertiary degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
A minimum of 810 years' Project/Development Management experience across commercial, retail and/or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction law relevant to JBCC contract documentation
Strong knowledge of Financial Modelling.
