MAIN PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION**Client based in Burgesfort seeking mining staff
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or equivalent
- Registered with the National Council of Science of South Africa as a Geologist
- Competent Person accreditation as defined by SAMREC and SEC guidelines
- Strata Control Certificate
- Rock Mechanics: Hard Rock Paper 1,2 and 3.1 qualifications
- Cetificate in 5G mining operation compulsory
- Postgraduate degree in relevant technical discipline advantages
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Geologist in a hard rock gold/platinum mining environment
- Experience in 5G mining/digital operations highly advantages
Duties and Responsibilities:
- English: Fully Proficient
- Mandarin: Fully Proficient (preferred)
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge in PGM exploration and mining geology
- Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Strong Relationshipbuilding skills and ability to motivate others
- Able to set targets, deadlines and within time constraints
- Able to identify, and implement new/improved processes, and monitor action plans
- Drilling contracts Management
- Monitor and drive continuous improvement in exploration and operational geology practices at the mine, including database management, grade control, drilling, logging, mapping, modelling, reconciliation and risk management
- Conduct bencmarking both within the Group and against industryleading practices.
- Excellent knowledge of 5G mining
