THE OPPORTUNITY


An opportunity exists for a dynamic leader to join our supply chain team to lead a team of industrial engineers focussed on supply chain projects and infrastructure maintenance in the PEP business.

This is a fast-paced, action-packed role that will directly contribute to our supply chain success.


This position will be based at our Central Office in Parow, Cape Town, but travel to our DCs will be required.


THE ROLE


You will be leading a team of industrial engineers that is focussed on maintaining our DC infrastructure and executing projects in our supply chain.

Through this, you will have the opportunity to diagnose problems, identify solutions, propose improvements and execute action plans. The role will focus largely on infrastructure, MHE and overall facility capacity.


This is a perfect role for somebody who will enjoy being immersed in supply chain and also have the longer-term view to grow their supply chain exposure and knowledge.

You will work closely with other senior team members to prioritize projects and drive initiatives in our operational environments.


WHAT'S NEEDED

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities and initiatives
  • Development of business cases
  • Leading supply chain projects
  • Manage procurement of infrastructure and related equipment
  • Managing project budgets
  • Manage consultants as part of a delivery team, when appropriate
  • Ensure infrastructure and MHE support supply chain processes
  • Develop and maintain long term capacity models to inform strategic decision
  • Liaise with various role players and departments to provide supply chain support

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 10 years' experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Strong project Management experience
  • Retail knowledge and exposure will be an advantage
  • Experience in managing consultants will be an advantage
  • Advanced level of computer skills, especially MS Excel or Google Sheets
  • Willingness to travel
