Job Advert:
An exciting and challenging opportunity, based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, has just become available for an HR Generalist (maternity contract).

Qualifications:
- A 3year tertiary HR Qualification (Human Resource Management/Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge required
- Sound understanding of HR best practices:
- Recruitment
- Talent Management
- Remuneration and Benefits
- Performance Management
- Employee Relations
- A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Knowledge and experience on HRIS systems would be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge in HR and Payroll administration processes
- Skills required:
- The ability to be resilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure
- The ability to influence across various levels and functions within the business
- Customer service focus both internally and externally and ensuring good interpersonal relationships.
- Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English.
- Be able to work independently, as well as be a team player.
- Good judgment together with strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company
- Exceptional planning, organising & time management skills.**
- Experience required:
- Essential:
- A minimum of 5 years relevant HR Administrator
- 23 years Consultant/Generalist experience
- Preferred:
- Previous relevant HR Generalist experience within a retail environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing input into the functional people plans, implementing action plans and delivering on HR projects related to the business, HR, or functional strategy
- Driving the recruitment & section process in portfolios in line with EE targets for all relevant positions
- Ensuring effective induction processes in line with role requirements
- To assist in the implementation and rollout of performance management processes
- To facilitate the resolution of employment relations processes and provide advice in all matters governed by the LRA and company policies
- To facilitate and drive team culture, values, and principles in line with company brand and business culture
- Compiling, maintaining, and analysing HR information & statistics to optimize decisionmaking and meet all administrative, reporting and legislative requirements. Ensure appropriate recordkeeping for employee relations and performance management
- Advise line managers on all remuneration & benefits related matters. Advise employees on benefits and remuneration (including package structuring)
