An exciting and challenging opportunity, based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, has just become available for an HR Generalist (maternity contract).


We are looking for a resilient, efficient, and influential individual with effective interpersonal skills to build strong business partnerships by building mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders in the Planning & Commercial business areas.

Qualifications:


  • A 3year tertiary HR Qualification (Human Resource Management/Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Knowledge and experience on HRIS systems would be advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge in HR and Payroll administration processes
  • Skills required:
  • The ability to be resilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure
  • The ability to influence across various levels and functions within the business
  • Customer service focus both internally and externally and ensuring good interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English.

  • Good judgment together with strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company
  • Exceptional planning, organising & time management skills.**
  • Experience required:
  • Essential:
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant HR Administrator
  • 23 years Consultant/Generalist experience
  • Preferred:
  • Previous relevant HR Generalist experience within a retail environment

Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing input into the functional people plans, implementing action plans and delivering on HR projects related to the business, HR, or functional strategy
  • Driving the recruitment & section process in portfolios in line with EE targets for all relevant positions
  • Ensuring effective induction processes in line with role requirements
  • To assist in the implementation and rollout of performance management processes
  • To facilitate the resolution of employment relations processes and provide advice in all matters governed by the LRA and company policies
  • To facilitate and drive team culture, values, and principles in line with company brand and business culture
  • Compiling, maintaining, and analysing HR information & statistics to optimize decisionmaking and meet all administrative, reporting and legislative requirements. Ensure appropriate recordkeeping for employee relations and performance management
  • Advise line managers on all remuneration & benefits related matters. Advise employees on benefits and remuneration (including package structuring)
