Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Floor Manager to join their team, bringing leadership, organization, and a passion for exceptional customer service to their establishment.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of waitstaff, hosts/hostesses, and bussers to ensure optimal service flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor frontofhouse staff on service standards, product knowledge, and customer interaction.
  • Monitor dining room ambiance, cleanliness, and organization to uphold a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Manage reservations, seating assignments, and waitlists to maximize seating capacity and minimize guest wait times.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, resolving issues to the satisfaction of the guest and management.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining quality and presentation standards.
  • Conduct preshift meetings to communicate daily specials, service expectations, and any relevant updates to staff.
  • Oversee inventory management for frontofhouse supplies, such as menus, tableware, and linens, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, including sanitation procedures and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations for frontofhouse staff as needed.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage operations, including menu items and preparation methods.
  • Certification in food safety and/or alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS) may be required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and restaurant management software.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and willingness to uphold compliance standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operation's schedule.
  • Minimum of 23 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting.
