Description
A great mining company in Gauteng is seeking the expertise of a Mine Planning Superintendent to join its team.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the operation's mine planning department, systems and processes.
  • Analyse and interpret mine planning data and reports and take corrective actions as required.
  • Provide effective problemsolving support to the mine planning teams.
  • Plan mining resources (personnel and equipment).
  • Generate a tracking system and identify corrective actions.
  • Develop appropriate mine designs and schedules based on Mineral Resources information, historical data and information for the operational area.
  • Maintenance of data and information in a database.
  • Analyse and interpret data and use the information to identify risks and trends.
  • Quantify risks to the mining plans and potential downstream impacts.
  • Develop shortterm impact mitigation scenarios to minimise business risk.
  • Develop and construct shortterm mine plans and business models aligned with production targets.

Requirements:


  • Grade 1
  • National Diploma / Degree in Mineral Resource Management
  • Mineral Resource Management Certificate of Competency
  • Mine Managers / Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency
  • 58 years of experience in an underground mining environment
  • Middle Management Development Program
