Our client, a private schools group in SA has an opportunity available for a Brand CFO to join their team in Jhb North.

We are looking for an excellent leader who is able to work under pressure and manage a large team.


Qualification required:


  • CA(SA)

Skills and experience required:


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role managing a team of finance people
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a pressurised environment processing large volumes
  • Experience successfully managing a large team
  • Sound knowledge of King IV
  • Sound knowledge of South African Tax Legislation
  • Proficient with Sage Evolution or similar accounting package

Job description:


  • Report to the CEO
  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies accordingly
  • Present finance reports to the board
  • Oversee preparation of finance reports
  • Review monthly management accounts
  • Budget management and provide support to various managers during budgeting process
  • P&L reporting
  • Due diligence reporting on potential acquisitions
  • Compile feasibility studies
  • CAPEX management
  • Oversee tax calculations
  • Provide tax advice to the group
  • Reporting to management team on potential improvements
  • Governance and compliance
  • Lead and develop the finance team
