The university seeks to employ skilled, knowledgeable and resourceful individuals to manage various precincts that serve the operational requirements of specific user groups and functions.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination, control, and management of building infrastructure and building services
  • Management of breakdown maintenance services
  • Management of planned maintenance identification and implementation
  • Project Management of small projects (renovation, refurbishment, sustainability)
  • SLA Management
  • Compliance Management
  • Stakeholder liaison and reporting
  • Budget Management
  • Built Environment Audits

Minimum Requirements

  • B Tech degree (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, QS)
  • 5 years' recent experience in the management of building infrastructure
  • Proven supervisory track record at least 3 years
  • Valid drivers' license (with at least 2 years driving experience )
  • Knowledge of working on small to medium scale projects.
Knowledge, skills and capabilities

  • Good computer literacy, incl. proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong ability to conduct failure analysis and establish root cause
  • Superior planning and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
  • Good knowledge of building regulations and standards ISO Standards/SABS/ASIB
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
