Job Purpose:


The purpose of this role is to plan, organise and manage project scope and phases within the core parameters of the project mandate.


Role and its core responsibilities:


  • Own and implement the Barrows project management principles as outlined by the project management strategy and vision.
  • Define and manage Project Scope
  • Develop project plans, including schedule and budget
  • Organise and allocate business resources across the teams as required by the project
  • Communicate and provide reporting across both team and stakeholder levels on Project timings, milestones and deliverables
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project, analyse result and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks and issues
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.
  • Develop an environment of contineous improvement through best practices, templates policies, tools and partnerships and mature these capabilities for the organisation.

  • Any other reasonable request from management including particular projects as and when needed.

Minimum requirements/experience & Skills:


  • 2+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • 2+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
  • Experience in FMCG/Retail advertising and/or marketing preferable
  • Experience in end to end delivery of small, medium & large scoped projects
  • Experience in the implementation of project management methodologies
  • High level of proficiency Microsoft office and Google suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Project management software skills would be beneficial
  • Experience working with business stakeholders within a crossfunctional matrix environment
  • Ability to present to business stakeholders and demonstrated communication skills; both
  • Written and oral with technical and nontechnical staff, all levels of management
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships through communication and collaboration.

Minimum qualifications:


  • Diploma, Bachelor Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
