Camps Bay Village is currently seeking a Residential Manager to manage and control all self-catering apartments to the standards laid down by the company, maximising revenues, profits and agreed budgetary limits.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Hospitality qualification (advantageous)
- Opera (advantageous) or similar PMS system
- Experience in the same or similar position
- Familiar with the duties and procedures in the selfcatering department or AIRBnB
Duties and responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Ensure all apartments are prepared according to Opera requests
- Manage the arrival and departures for the day operationally
- Ensure daily allocations are completed with maximum efficiency
- Ensure thorough pre arrival inspection is conducted prior to the arrivals of guests
- Ensure that exit inspections are done when guests have departed and any breakages/missing inventory communicated and charged accordingly
- Management of apartment inventory
- Standard stock and back up store protocol maintained
- Departure cleans planned and managed according to operational requirements
- Residential standards maintained
- Extensive care program to be maintained 100%
- Lost and found protocol followed
FACILITIES
- Property inspections all areas clean and tidy daily (back of house to be as good as front of house areas)
- Storekeeping policy to be adhered to 100%
- Identify, communicate, and action any maintenance/facilities matters by observations & guest reviews
- Ensure any matters that cannot be resolved within the team is escalated to your manager
Communication
- Ensure effective liaison between operations and other departments
- Ensure accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work
- To attend all management meetings as required
Guest Relations
- Readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints in person and on WhatsApp
- Tend to and arrange for guest needs
- To monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions how these could be implemented
Human Resources
- Participate in progressive discipline
- Roster policy adhered to as per operational requirements and roster policy
- To be familiar with all local OHASA measurements
- Manage onsite IOD's
- To carry out or ensure that regular OntheJob training is taking place to agreed standards
- To ensure dress code of staff is up to standard
Garden and Plants
- Attending to the plants of the property
- Ensuring the plants are in good health and watered adequately
- Mow the grass and deweed the garden if necessary
Security
- Conduct a security walk around of the entire property
- To ensure lockdown is actioned accordingly
- Complete incident reports for guests and staff
