Professional Field Guide process underway

Min req. FGASA NQF4 Full/ Lead trails guide/ Professional Field Guide process underway.

so experience with managing teams of guides beneficial.

Conducting Game Drives & Bush walks with guests

Overall responsibility to ensure a high quality bush experience to assigned guests

Prepared to help in other areas of the lodge, especially in maintenance, if required

  • 5 years plus experience at a five star luxury property
  • Lead Trails
  • ARH & Rifle proficiency / SAPS Competency Certificate
  • Valid Driver's license, PDP and First Aid Level 2 essential with Wilderness component
  • CATHSSETA /NDT Register
  • Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be able to communicate well with guides and take charge of the department.
  • Guest centric, with the experience to ensure the guiding team provides a personalized and memorable experience for each guest.
  • Stable employment history and contactable reference

Requirements:


  • Experience on the job as a Senior Field Guide in a similar environment (Big 5 reserve) and at a lodge of similar level (high end, 5 Star)
  • FGASA Level 2 ( NQF 4 ) (minimum FGASA Level
  • NQF 4) qualification
  • Professional Field Guide process underway.
  • Trails Certificate and being able to conduct bush walks
  • Excellent communications and entertaining skills
  • Team-Player who feels well being part of small team of rangers
Extensive training provided and costs covered for guides during employment to grow and develop.

EG:
FGASA practical's (NQF2, 4, professional),

All trails guide mentor hrs/ practicals etc, ARH evals, Tracking, Skippers.
