Description

We are recruiting for a Testing Manager with at list 5 years of experience in managing IT Quality Assurance within an IT environment, 3 years at middle management/supervisory level.


  • Testing Manager with experience in test planning and strategies
  • Participating in preparation of quality assessments, reports, and metrics formulating gono go statement based on reports and metrics, test progress and defect status
  • Presenting test improvements and developments in daily progress meetings including planned vs
  • Acting as the main liaison communicating between the team the rest of the internal and external organization
  • Lead execution of planned test cases, ensuring that all test results are correctly recorded against the system
  • Develop detailed work plans for engagements, status tracking and reporting, and production of high quality deliverables for clients
  • Coordinating all testing roles and responsibilities within teams
  • Responsible for all Test, Test Tools Development and configuration management activities

Technical Competencies:


Testing - planning driving testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service developments. Collaborates across parties involved in product, systems or service design and development to enable comprehensive test coverage.


Quality Assurance:


  • Ability to provide oversight for quality assurance related activities, conduct formal assessments or reviews for given domain areas, suppliers, or parts of the supply chain. Good knowledge and understanding of software testing frameworks and methodologies and development of test plans, test cases and scenarios.

Acceptance Testing - Collaborates with project colleagues and stakeholders involved in the analysis, development and operation of products, systems or services to ensure accuracy and comprehensive test coverage. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks including the work of others. Develops acceptance criteria related to functional and non-functional requirements, business processes, features, user stories and business rules.


User Experience Evaluation - Checks operational systems, products, services or devices for changes in usability and accessibility needs. Interprets and presents results of evaluations, priorities issues and reports on remedial actions. Validates that security, usability and accessibility requirements have been met. Selects appropriate tools and techniques to evaluate user experiences of systems, products, services or devices.


Education

  • Bachelors' degree (NQF7) in IT or related qualification, with at least one professional testing certification at Practitioner level.
  • ISTQB certification at advanced level will be an added advantage

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience managing IT Quality Assurance within an IT environment
  • At least 3 years at middle management/supervisory level
