A well-established company within the Manufacturing / Packaging industry is seeking the expertise of a Senior Logistics Planner to join their team to be based in JHB East.
This is a permanent opportunity and will eventually grow into supporting the group of companies and be responsible for the implementation and management of Transport Management System.
The Key Responsibilities for this Role Include
- Daily route schedule optimisation and reducing distribution costs
- Running of strategic optimisation models to optimise fleet mix, service day, master routes and provide critical inputs to network modelling
- Clean Master Data and Order Information
- Dropped loads analysis
Qualification
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a Logistics Planner
- 2+ years' experience in implementing and maintaining a Transport Management System (TMS)
- Analysis of dropped loads
- Clean up of Master Data and Order Information
- Supplier Evaluations
- Management and authorisation of overtime costs and costing analysis
Skills Required:
- Logistics Planning
