Descriptions:
- Answering the telephones within 3 rings and ensuring that all client queries, collections, and quotes are dealt with in a timeous manner.
- Customers with pending queries should be updated on the status of their open query every 60
- The processing of collections on Parcel Perfect and/or Agent System (e.g., FedEx Duo) and then
- Mailing an Online waybill to a client for all reverse collections and where otherwise necessary.
- Recording all collections undertaken on the Daily Collection Record.
- Recording all queries on the Daily Query Record.
- Following up with the relevant service providers later in the afternoon or the next working day
- Filing of all Daily Records of Collection & Query Sheets once collections have been successfully confirmed the following day.
- Sales leads generated from Cash Sales to be escalated to Sales Team.
- Scrutinizing of tracking reports for all parcels and ensuring that the client is kept informed of
the quote letter.
- Accurate Waybill data capture on Parcel Perfect.
- Accurate Proof of Delivery capture on Parcel Perfect.
- Ensuring your workspace is kept clean and tidy.
- Providing details daily of all Afterhour or Saturday Collections/Deliveries to the person on duty
- Answering the afterhours cell phone within 3 rings and action the relevant request within 60
- A hand over should be done when going on leave/sick leave or when leaving the office for the
- Attending and contributing to the weekly CSD meeting to provide meaningful feedback to
Qualifications:
- At least two years customer services experience in the courier industry.
- Training on telephone etiquette.
- On the job training.
- Sound geographical knowledge of South Africa
- Knowledge of Parcel Perfect (or other Courier Software, with the ability to learn Parcel Perfect
- Knowledge if import/export legislation and mechanisms
- Knowledge of courier documentation and interpretations
- Good communication and people skills.
- Professional and courteous.
- Well organised and systematic.
- Integrity and honesty.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Efficient and alert.
- Reliable and follows matters through to conclusion.
- Interact and maintain relationships within a team.
- Resourceful.
