We are seeking a CCTV Technician for a 12-month contract role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, Systems Engineering or Electronic Product Design
  • Strong technical domain experience
  • PSIRA Registration is a must
  • Low voltage Electrical License preferred; however, we would also consider an experienced Security Field Service Technician who is either in process of obtaining their low voltage Electrical License or is willing to obtain it
  • Basic knowledge of networks and/or network switching preferred
  • Must be able to work independently with limited or remote direction
  • Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner with management, team members, and guests

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Continually travel and be able to satisfy all foreign travel requirements
  • Assist with the configuration, deployment, and support of network assets, including POS systems, sound, SFTV
  • Performs service/installation of closedcircuit television systems, and other various security related systems
  • Performs computer program entry as required to add closed circuit television cameras, access control devices as needed
  • Experience performing work in troubleshooting and
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on Tyco Integrated Security retail products (ie
  • Service, install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance and inspections on Tyco Integrated Fire & Security products
  • Service, Installation and programming of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems
  • Training of the end user on TIFS systems
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on Tyco Retail Solutions retail products and equipment at customer sites
