Position Objective

To manage the Logistics and Warehouse area effectively to ensure the following:

To employ, discipline, and develop staff within the business unit.

To balance and organize the distribution unit as per packing instructions.

Key Performance Area 1: Packing and Distributing the Finished Garments

Ensuring that finished goods are tagged and packed correctly and efficiently as per customer requirements and packing

Check that product is sorted as per the packing list.
***:

Check that finished goods are tagged as per the packing list.

Check that finished goods are packaged as per packing instructions
***:

Sort out shortages with the production line and inform management if it will influence the delivery date.

Ensure that the required distribution documents are completed and sent through with each delivery.

Ensure that accurate information is captured on the system.

Follow up on line shortages.
***:

Accurate balancing of employees on the Distribution lines and record keeping.
***:

Accurately completed packing instructions and relevant documents.

Quality finished products are prepared and packed as per customer requirements.

On-time delivery of finished goods.

Up-to-date data capturing.

Key Performance Area 2: Cost Control

Ensuring that no finished goods are damaged during packaging and distributing and that no wastage occurs of the packing materials and consumables.

Monitoring utilization of packing equipment.

Recording breakdowns of packaging equipment to Maintenance.

Record operational waste i.e., plastic, labels, and carton boxes.
***:

Control the utilization of packaging materials on the relevant documentation.

Accurate information on process utilization is recorded on the required documents.

Key Performance Area 3: Quality Management

Ensuring that a process of continuous improvement exists with absolute team involvement so that absolute customer satisfaction and maximum value-adding will be achieved.

Controlling all preparation for packing and distribution as required by customer orders.

Controlling the quality to be packed and distributed as per company documents.
***:
-
Identify quality constraints on finished goods and implement immediate corrective action with line management.
***:

Check if shortages are recorded and controlled.
***:

Ensure that all packing machines and equipment are set and functioning correctly.
***:

Implement all relevant Standard Operating Procedures [SOP] where relevant.
***:

Train and develop team in process improvement and quality management.
***:

Manage quality process, yields, and quality criteria with absolute team involvement.

Set quality objectives, obtain agreement and follow through and record on visual monitoring chart.

Implement immediate corrective action if non-conformance is identified be it process, product or staff.
