At DHL Supply Chain South Africa, we're looking for

Role Outline- Specialize in the leveraging of HR data to provide management information on workforce metrics, HR activities, efficiency, effectiveness and costs to enable appropriate business decisions


Key areas of responsibility include:


HR Strategy

  • Provide leadership in setting / facilitating the HR strategy and tactics in direct alignment with the Head of HR and HR Leadership team
  • Advance the implementation of HR strategy and tactics by shaping organisational structures and processes, monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities.

HR Projects

  • Lead and manage strategic divisional and / or cross divisional HR projects and initiatives with project teams.
  • Support and contribute to special divisional and crossdivisional projects (eg talent systems)
  • Provide guidance and expertise in key business and organisational matters
  • Continuous improvement of HR organisational efficiencies and effectiveness (eg organisational design)
  • HR Reporting / Controlling / Performance Management
  • Manage HR Performance Management Processes, including Performance Dialogs, Business Review Meetings
  • Manage the HR Scorecard and Reporting
  • Identify trends, warning signs, or risk and initiate recommend and suggest corrective actions.

HR IT

  • HR Data Management
  • HR IT Roadmaps incl solution approaches, budgets, business cases.
  • Manage or support HR IT projects

Support / Chief of Staff

  • Lead, manage and support the HR budget process
  • Support the Head of HR in aspects of her role
  • Lead the Employee Opinion Survey for Africa and ensure successful followup activities that contribute to overall business success
  • Hold full responsibility for the HR Business Partner Satisfaction Survey for the cluster including followup activities
  • Work on Special projects (ie. JET, S2L, Kronos) as and when required
  • Support Talent function with the Shared Data hub update process for the countries.
  • Lead the Great Place to Work survey and ensure accreditation is acquired for all eligible countries in the Africa cluster
  • Support ICS program for Africa

HR Performance Management

  • Establish new HR Scorecard for Africa and take responsibility for monthly generation to generate transparency and to support business decisions
  • Ensure continuous improvement of HR data / HR KPI quality
  • Manage estabilishment and maintenance of HR databases and Organizational Structure (e.g. FTE roster, Org Charts)
  • Provide HR data analysis and HR data reporting to management on ad hoc and on regular basis
  • Employee Opinion Survey & Employee Engagement
  • Manage the full project life cycle for the Employee Opinion Survey, covering all DSC Employees within Africa (including ordering, followup processes, communication, data management and reporting)
  • Manage the Employee Engagement agenda for the country
  • HR Business Partner Satisfaction Survey
  • Manage the annual HR BPSS survey within Africa including processes, communication, reporting and followup

Strategic HR Projects / HR Transformation Projects

  • Provide project and change management for implementation of largescale HR projects
  • Effectively manage data collection, data analysis, reporting and data maintenance related to strategic projects

HR Processes and Policies

  • Manage Critical Vacancy Process, ensuring compliance with regional and global policies and procedures
  • Maintain effective communication channels with team members and the wider HR team in the Cluster

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies and Experience

  • Experience in Supply Chain HR
  • Suitable tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the HR Environment
  • Capable of building collaborative relationships
  • Proven ability to identify & analyse trends from both business and HR management information
  • Power BI experience advantageous
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience required
  • An ability to creatively use change management tools and techniques
  • Quality & Control Management / HR Metrics.
  • Relationship / Stakeholder Management
