    Exciting opportunity available for a position in Packaging at Adam Tas, Stellenbosch. The selected candidate will directly report to the Engineering Specialist.

    Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of production lines by maintaining machines and equipment.
  • Enhancing ME and reliability metrics.
  • Minimizing production line breakdowns and unexpected downtimes.
  • Supervising machine and equipment functioning.
  • Assisting in adhering to production, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Handling machine start-up, operation, shutdowns, and changes following quality guidelines.
  • Fulfilling stand-in responsibilities for the Machine Specialist and Engineering Specialist when necessary.
  • Overseeing preventative maintenance and related tasks on designated production equipment/lines.
  • Conducting necessary administrative duties.
  • Actively engaging in morning meetings and implementing best practices on site.

    • The ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 5 years of engineering/ maintenance/ manufacturing experience in FMCG sector.
  • Relevant Artisan experience, particularly in a high-speed packaging setting.
  • Knowledge of Canning processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously and handle pressure effectively.
  • Drive to grow into a Machine Specialist / Engineering Specialist role.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and leadership qualities.
  • Availability for shift work and extended hours as needed.
  • Physically fit to manage the job demands.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to work.

    • Required Qualifications:

  • Technical certification with a completed mechanical trade test certificate (Fitter and Turner/Turner/Millwright).
