Milk the Moment!
Every contact made and everyone who crosses our path are potential clients, friends and or acquaintances. Most people miss opportunities by not realising this. We must learn to use the few minutes we get when we meet new people and get to understand how to milk the moment.
Staring at elevator floor indicators in buildings is time wasted. Even a hearty “good morning” to everyone in the lift releases a fresh energy and enthusiasm. I once ended up attending an interview where the person interviewing fondly recalled how my positive energy in the morning helped them navigate a tough day. I ended up working for that company for 5 years as a client contact liason. All because I greeted positively and asked everyone “How are you this morning.” Let's milk every opportunity we get.
