    Description

    Junior IT Support Engineer Position

    The role involves providing technical support to end-users via various communication channels, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

    1. Technical Support:
      • Provide assistance to users experiencing technical difficulties via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
    2. Hardware Installation and Maintenance:
      • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain computer hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, VOIP devices, and networking equipment (both wired and wireless).
    3. Fault Resolution:
      • Diagnose and resolve technical faults logged on the company's helpdesk system, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
    4. Network Infrastructure Setup and Maintenance:
      • Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
    5. Collaboration with Senior IT Staff:
      • Work collaboratively with senior IT staff to resolve complex technical issues and escalate problems as needed.
    6. Ticketing System Management:
      • Document and track support requests and resolutions using ticketing systems.
    7. Maintenance Tasks:
      • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and backups.
    8. IT Security Policies and Procedures:
      • Assist in implementing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data.
    9. User Training:
      • Provide training and assistance to users on basic IT procedures and best practices.
    1. Experience:
      • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a desktop support environment.
    2. Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 8/8.1/10/11) and Microsoft 365.
      • Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including DHCP and DNS.
