    Description

    Main Job Function:

    • To have a deep understanding of the legislation governing renewable energy investments in the target market and to monitor its developments.
    • To possess a comprehensive insight into the competitive environment in the sector, in the area of reference, and to perform analyses thereof to inform the company's business strategy.
    • To have a thorough understanding of the available solutions for financing renewable energy products (including debt providers, multilateral financing institutions, equity investors, ECAs, DFIs, mezzanine houses, vendor financing, etc.) and their impact on various business models.
    • To develop a partner acquisition strategy aligned with the company's or projects' business needs and implement it through effective collaboration with other corporate departments, as necessary.
    • To identify, analyze, negotiate, and secure business opportunities that meet the company's investment guidelines, including greenfield developments, acquisitions, participation in competitive processes (public or private), and commercial origination with large energy off-takers, subject to budget and time constraints.
    • To prepare all necessary documentation and attend meetings required for investment approval, whether internal or external.
    • To lead or coordinate the necessary activities for project development, with special attention to permitting and liaisons with stakeholders.
    • To involve other stakeholders during the development cycle and hand over the projects for construction while maintaining responsibility for supporting such functions as required.
    • To coordinate a cross-functional team composed of multiple departments within the company (and/or external service providers) to achieve the above objectives.
    • To contribute to the company's planning process and budgeting.
    • To maintain and develop the company's organizational culture, values, and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in business development, investment analysis, or commercial positions with similar responsibilities.
    • International experience is considered a strong asset.
    • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Economics or Engineering.

    Criteria:

    • Deep knowledge of the renewable energy business, energy markets (including regulation), and related technologies.
    • Investment valuation principles.
    • Corporate finance.
    • Sound understanding of the renewable energy competitive environment.
    • Negotiation skills, particularly in commercial contracts and partnership agreements.
