    Position Overview:
    Greys Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Team Leader to oversee production operations within our client’s organization.

    Key Qualifications:
    • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 certification.
    • Relevant qualifications in Production Supervision or the food sector.
    • Experience in Confectionery Manufacturing is considered an asset.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a food production setting.

    Responsibilities:
    Leadership and Safety:
    Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.
    Engage effectively with all organizational levels.
    Proven experience in managing teams, motivating personnel, and fostering a collaborative environment.
    Self-driven with the ability to lead and inspire others while managing a production team.
    Oversee the manufacturing of food items, ensuring adherence to safety standards, product quality, and operational efficiency.
    Manage workforce dynamics and attendance.

    Disciplinary Management:
    Handle incident reporting and safety documentation.
    Act as a Safety Representative (training will be provided).
    Support the establishment of a safe working environment.
    Facilitate training and development for production staff.

    Operational Excellence:
    Ensure safe and efficient production processes.
    Achieve plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational targets.
    Reduce downtime through effective monitoring and maintenance planning.
    Assess production quality and implement corrective measures as necessary.
    Minimize waste and promote a 'right first-time' approach.

    Inventory Management:
    Plan and control raw material usage.
    Conduct monthly inventory assessments.
    Ensure timely deliveries as per operational plans.
    Manage raw material consumption and maintain accurate records for product traceability.

    Quality Assurance:
    Possess a solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 standards, along with health and safety regulations (preferred).
    Familiarity with internal and external auditing practices is advantageous.
    Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality Management Systems, HACCP, and Good Hygiene practices.
    Coordinate internal training sessions with the quality assurance team.
