    Job Title: Technical Specialist/Senior Civil Engineer

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist or Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. This combined management and technical role requires deep technical skill and business development experience.

    The ideal candidate will have expertise in complex Mining, Industrial, petrochemical, and/or Energy Infrastructure projects, as well as strong leadership skills to manage Civil Engineers and designs on integrated projects.

    • Main Responsibilities:
    • Provide civil work expertise in complex projects.
    • Lead and manage Civil Engineers and designs on integrated projects.
    • Use management skills to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.
    • Comfortable with stormwater run-off, bulk earthworks, sewer, and potable water designs.
    • Identify innovative opportunities by using sound judgment and civil-related experience.
    • Utilize design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Projects.
    • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
    • Be accountable for financial performance and quality of projects.

    Requirements:

    • MSc/BSc or MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering (Advantageous).
    • Minimum 4 years or more relevant experience.
    • PrEng or PrTech advantageous.
    • Experience with industrial clients as design leader, designer, and/or engineering manager (advantageous).
    • Evidence of having led technical teams (advantageous).

    Preferred Skills:

    • Publishing of work/projects in the form of papers and articles.
    • Noteed expert in the field of Civil Engineering.

    Software Literacy:

    • AutoCAD
    • MS Projects
    • Hec-Ras
    • GoldSim (knowledge will be advantageous)
    • PCSWMM or similar

    We value diversity and seek individuals from designated groups within South Africa. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, estimated at R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
