    Clinical Psychologist - Adult Mental Health

    Invercargill Community Mental Health team provides innovative service, working with an integrated model of care across community and inpatient settings.

    Our staff are motivated professionals committed to providing optimal treatment via thorough assessment and continued MDT coordination of treatment.

    About the Role

    This adult mental health role combines assessment and therapy for individuals experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress.

    The Clinical Psychologist is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering patient-centred interventions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide a wide range of psychological services including risk assessment, diagnostics and testing, formulation and treatment planning, along with therapy.
    • Work closely with consumers, family/whanau and community groups in a supportive, educational and clinical role based on mental health recovery principles.
    • Maintain contact with individuals through a key worker/case manager system as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring assertive follow-up.

    Requirements:

    • Registered Clinical Psychologist with The NZ Psychologist's Board.
    • Hold a current practising certificate with a clinical scope.
    • Possess a NZ driver's licence.
    • Eligibility to live and work in NZ.

    Salary and Benefits:

    The salary for this role falls between $85,000 p.a and $130,000 p.a pro-rata, according to the DHBs/APEX Psychologists Multi-Employer Collective Agreement.
