    Distance Learning Facilitator: Animation and Motion Design

    You are passionate about animation and motion design? Do you have a strong industry background and a desire to share your expertise? Invictus is looking for an enthusiastic Animation & Motion Design Lecturer (Remote Position) to join our academic team and guide aspiring animators toward success.

    The post requires impeccable integrity in every aspect of the qualification's academic support, content development, evaluation, moderation, assessment of learning, as well as supporting Invictus' vision and mission.

    Job Requirements

    Essential Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Animation and Motion Design, Digital Arts or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 2 years lecturing experience within higher education.
    • Experience in the field of 2D or 3D animation, preferably with a minimum of 2 years.
    • Online facilitation experience beneficial, with fundamental understanding of curriculum and assessment management and improvement.
    • Proficient in Learning Management Systems and MS Office computer software.
    • Strong administrative ability and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in 2D digital and cutout animation, and relevant software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe software suite.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in 3D animation, sculpting and software such as Blender.
    • Possess communication, interpersonal skills, administration skills, be organized and possess good time management skills.
    • Collaborative and willing to work with fellow lecturers to support students.
    • Knowledge of academic compliance within the higher education sector.
    • Proficient in computer software, apps, social media, and technology in general.

    Responsibilities

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deliver high-quality academic content for animation and motion design courses.
    • Evaluate and moderate student assignments and projects.
    • Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
    • Support Invictus' vision and mission through teaching and academic activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.

    Deliverables

    Main Deliverables:

    • High-quality academic content for animation and motion design courses.
    • Accurate and timely student assessments and evaluations.
    • Regular progress reports on student learning outcomes.

    Requirements

    Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

    • Master's degree in a related field such as Animation and Motion Design, Digital Arts or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 5 years lecturing experience within higher education.
    • Experience in online course development and delivery.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Possess excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
