Senior Network Administrator - KZN

Permanent Post

The SAMRC's, IT Services Division, has a vacancy for a self-driven and results oriented individual to fill the above position.

You will be expected to work with team of IT support professionals and provide assistance in the development and maintenance of IT services in the KZN region in Durban.

You will be required to provide both in person and remote support to users in addition to supporting the server infrastructure.

You will be required to travel between sites within KZN on a regular basis and as well as other regions from time to time.

A central Helpdesk provides telephonic support and job scheduling. You will be required to provide support and assistance to helpdesk calls assigned.

Core Requirements:

3year National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology Services or Degree in Related Field or similar qualification or higher
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).

VMware Certified Professional

Data Center Virtualization (VCP)
58 Years' experience in supporting a enterprise Microsoft server environment running on a VMware platform
A valid code 8/B driver's license

Additional Advantages:

Honours Degree in Information Technology, related field or Equivalent
Work experience with Veeam backup software
Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, user or security group access management

It is essential that you have good people skills, are highly motivated, dedicated and punctual. You may be required to work after hours on occasion.

A salary in the region of R will be offered, cost-to-company, dependent on qualifications and research experience.
