    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    The Manager Electrical & Instrumentation will be responsible to oversee electrical and instrumentation department, and to ensure work is conducted timeously and conforms to standards and customer requirements.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the E&I department.
  • Compile work schedule for execution of projects using MS Projects/Primavera.
  • Attend meetings and give daily feedback on status of electrical projects.
  • Analyse training needs and resolve conflicts within the department.
  • Supervise electricians/instrument technicians, and oversee planning and implementation of electrical part of the projects.
  • Compile BOM for procurement of material for electrical/instrumentation projects.
  • Verify and correct electrical and instrumentation drawings.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Compile budget requirements for the department.
  • Ensure that the safety guidelines are followed and any risky activity is not undertaken.
  • Assist with installations and commissioning of plants.
    • WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • National Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation or N6 Technical Diploma or Trade Test in Electrical/Instrumentation.
  • Eng. /BTech Electrical Degree will be advantageous.
  • At least 10 years minimum experience within the manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of electrical installations requirements and regulations in explosive environments
  • Knowledge in PLC programming will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Power Point-proficient level (minimum) and MS Projects.
