Transformation Procurement Manager,


Job Purpose To plan, negotiate and co-ordinate all planning and supply activities to meet company objectives in terms of product supply, desired stock levels and demand forecasts, ensuring optimum efficiency and productivity is achieved at the lowest total cost.

Relevant Degree in Commercial; Supply Chain and/or Logistics

  • 5 years purchasing experience, preferably in Pharma/FMCG industry
  • 5 years managerial experience
  • Knowledge of advanced supply chain planning on Oracle would be an advantage
  • Sound understanding of Purchasing / Supply Chain business principles, processes and value chain.
Key Job Outputs

  • Develop and implement a procurement policy and strategy to maximize savings and benefits
  • Ongoing negotiation with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Manage and implement Cost Optimization and Reporting System
  • Manage supplier service contracts
  • Ensure extensive ongoing coordination, communication and team problem solving
  • Stakeholder and relationship management
  • Maintain pricing in the Oracle system
  • Source alternate suppliers and manufacturers to ensure competitive and constant supply of stock and consider their BEE level
  • Reduction of cost of goods, close control and strong understanding of cost increases and cost expectation
  • Good understanding of trends to identify potential risks and find solutions
  • Identify and drive cost saving projects
  • Manage plans through the Planner / Buyers for the 3rd party manufacturers including longterm requirements to ensure stability of supply
  • Manage the communication channels between the demand creation and supplier
  • Ensure queries from Business Units are addressed and attended to according to the Service Level Agreements
