Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager.

To act as the strategic liaison between stakeholders who have purchasing needs and suitable vendors, particularly across fuel, base oils and lubricants.

Be responsible for organizational spend, maximise the value of the vendor partnership and mitigate potential third-party risks.


Responsibilities:


  • Create a procurement strategy that is innovative, costeffective and incorporates the growing complexities and challenges within the industry. Being cognizant of compliance by reviewing existing past purchases and and prospective vendor partnerships.
  • Support Sales on customer RFPs
  • Manage RFPs where necessary to source new vendor partnerships.
  • Build long term relationships with vendors in the industry.
  • Keep an updated list of all elements that go into pricing of products and services and ensure that prices are current and in line with existing cost elements.
  • Evolve a comprehensive pricing data base for all products and services and comparative competitor prices.
  • Ensure that price changes are advised to all concerned in a timely manner and are being applied at all times.
  • Draw a programme for auditing prices to be used by all price list holders in order to establish their correctness. Ensure that new prices are distributed to all end users on time.
  • In liaison with MD, CFO, Sales leads and Operations ensure that a proper Inventory Management System is established for all products that we stock and sell. Coordinate the importation of all products.
  • Keep an updated list of all current list of all transport rates that are being charged by the various transporters that are transporting for us.
  • Check all transport rates being charged for their correctness when transporters submit their invoices.

Qualifications:


  • Previous work experience as a Procurement Manager for 3+ years in a fastpaced environment.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or similar relevant field from a reputable university.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
