Our client in the FMCG manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced sales consultant to drive new business acquisition and market penetration for the Eastern Cape region.

This role provides a significant opportunity for growth in both scope and responsibilities within the company.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong relationships with customers personally and professionally.
  • To understand the customer's business and provide them with packaging solutions, not just products.
  • Meeting and exceeding monthly sales budgets and targets.
  • Sourcing of new business and opportunities to fill up machine capacity.
  • Attend to customer complaints effectively.
  • Respond to the customer within 24 hours.
  • Manage price increases with customers effectively.
  • Ability to write and manage budgets, weekly estimates and other sales reports.
  • To provide our business with forecasts ensuring that the company has the right products at the right time.
  • Analyse what competitors are doing i.t.o pricing strategies and customers' perceptions of them.
  • Responsible for leading Design Review meetings for new products and changes in current products.
  • Daily reporting on customer and feedback

Requirements:


  • A postmatric sales or related qualification will be advantageous. (Matric essential).
  • Being able to speak English and isiXhosa is advantageous.
  • Have at least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in Packaging or FMCG.
  • Have a proven track record in sales of sourcing of new business and growing of sales budgets.
  • An understanding of the plastics/packaging industry would be advantageous.
  • Computer Literacy (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own transport.
  • Must be comfortable travelling and sourcing business in the Transkei.

Salary and Benefits

  • Marketrelated at R2830K Basic + Benefits and Sales Commission.
  • Benefits include Car Allowance (R5K), Phone Allowance (R1K), Medical Aid Contribution and Pension Fund Contribution.
