    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Junior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals who have recently completed their articles and are looking to start their career in accounting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Reporting: Assist with financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general accounting duties.
    • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Manage and process accounts payable and receivable.
    • Bank Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
    • Financial Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Audit Support: Support senior accountants with audits, tax preparations, and financial analysis.
    • Day-to-Day Operations: Participate in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department as needed.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting or Related Field: A completed degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • Recent Completion of Articles: Recent completion of articles.
    • Languages: Fluent in Afrikaans (verbal and written communication).
    • Personal Qualities: Sober habits (non-smoker), professional, reliable, and willing to learn.
    • Motivation: A motivated, driven individual who is looking for long-term growth and development within the company.
    • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a willingness to take on new challenges.
    • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
    • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of Excel.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
