    Key Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Financial Controller

    The Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and qualified Financial Controller to join our team in a factory setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in stock management, staff management, and financial reporting.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate review and preparation of management accounts and reports for senior management.
    • Capital Expenditure Management: Oversee capex applications and ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records for year-end, including debtors, creditors, and fixed assets.
    • Stock Management: Ensure adherence to established stock procedures.
    • Accounting Processes: Manage and lead the month-end and year-end accounting processes.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage budgeting and forecasting models.
    • Leadership: Supervise and lead staff in the finance department.
    • Compliance: Ensure adherence to VAT, Tax customs, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements, and implement corrective measures for non-compliance.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Complete Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Certification: Studying towards Certified International Management Accountant (CIMA) certification or equivalent.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Industry Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience within the manufacturing industry on a factory level.
