    Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer

    Located in Cape Town, this role is an on-site position.

    Requirements:

    • The successful candidate must have at least 3-5 years of experience in the IT and Networking environment and hold formal IT qualifications, preferably including Microsoft role-based certifications.
    • A candidate with both the attitude and aptitude to excel in Server/Network Support, Cloud technologies, Projects, and Client services consulting will fill this position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for IT, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and grow within our team.
    • The chosen candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of onsite experience, based at a client location.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The IT Services Consultant will be responsible for providing high-end technical support to our client portfolio, including:
    • Designing and implementing projects according to client requirements and project scope.
    • Conducting infrastructure security analysis and reporting.
    • Creating client documentation and designing policies.
    • Managing incidents, problems, service requests, and applying change management as necessary.
    • Having a good general understanding of the ITIL Framework and ITSM Systems.
    • Having a good knowledge of TCP/IP Networking protocols, VLANs, installing and configuring firewalls, managed switches, and routers.
    • Understanding network security and malware/ransomware prevention.
    • Assisting or mentoring junior consultants and hosting technical workshops for the team.
