Project-Based HSE Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project-Based HSE Manager to execute an oil-and-gas project in Coega.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring legislative compliance and achieving the business objectives of the project.

Duties:

Ensure ISO- and project audit compliance
Maintain legal appointments, certification, and compliance
Conduct risk assessments and generate data books
Monitor adherence to systems and procedures
Provide support, evaluate risk performance, and reliability, and recommend corrective and preventative actions
Execute day-to-day HSE-related matters
Investigate incidents and accidents
Manage and coordinate inductions and toolbox talks
Coordinate safety meetings and OHS responsibilities
Liaise with departments to achieve legislative and project compliance

Requirements:

Relevant safety management qualification
Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 & ISO 90001 & 14001-2015
Minimum 5 years safety, health, and environment management experience - preferably in a ship repair/oil and gas environment where ISO practices are well entrenched
Sound verbal communication skills
Computer literacy
Valid driver's license

R500,000 - R700,000 per annum
