We are now looking for a General Trade Sales Representative based in Cape Town.


This role responsible for increasing a regional footprint by developing Customer base and maintaining collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through Identifying, sourcing and communicating new business opportunities to achieve common goals and long-term sustainable profitability.


A day in the life of...

A GT Sales Rep:

  • Management of sales territory and achievement of monthly and annual sales targets
  • Implement successful promotional plans and activations at Customers (local and provincial level)
  • Customer Account Management:
  • Investigate and resolve all Customer queries and complaints relating to business
  • Understand and analyse customer needs and provide solutions accordingly
  • Identify, source and communicate new business opportunities


  • Monthly Business Planning

  • Accuracy on monthly forecasting
  • Reduce and maintain a clean debtor's book and resolve outstanding /overdue accounts timeously

What will make you successful

  • Minimum 5 years on the road sales experience. Exposure to catering, out of home or FMCG type of experience


  • Degree/Diploma

  • BCom, Sales & Marketing, Finance or related
  • PC literate
- basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)

  • Unendorsed driver's license
  • Code 0
  • Experience in Key Accounts & Field Sales will be advantageous
  • Strong problem solving, and facetoface customer exposure
  • Confidence in dealing with multiple data sources and adapting and responding to change
  • Results and deadline focused
  • Confident cold calling, communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Good time management
  • Financial Understanding awareness of ROI (Return of Investment)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Being able to do provincial travel within South Africa
