    Job Title: Senior/Principal Software Engineer – Test Benches

    Incomar is an aerospace and defence company based in Centurion, South Africa. We are continuously expanding our specialised product development and flight operations capabilities.

    1. Systems Design, Development, and Integration.
    2. System Testing on a range of platforms/products.
    3. Product Development.
    4. Flight Test Execution and Support.

    We are looking for motivated individuals to take a senior role in automated test bench software development effort for acceptance testing avionic sub-systems functionally and under environmental stress screening conditions.

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, or a relevant related tertiary qualification.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Performing software development activities, including architectural design, interface design, implementation, coding, documentation, verification & testing.
    2. Conducting software development according to the 'V' product life cycle and system engineering management process.
    3. Writing and maintaining system and sub-system specifications and relevant design documentation related to software development activities.
    4. Configuration and version management of all software source code and software files.
    5. Simulation, data analysis and report writing applicable to allocated tasks.
    6. Ensuring that customer requirements and applicable standards are met.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Military, Defence Industry and/or Avionics development experience.
    • Avionic interfaces such as RS232/422/485, discretes, CAN, Ethernet, Video & Audio.
    • Experience with test case scripting with XML or similar.
    • Knowledge or experience in the RTCA DO-178C design process.
    • Exposure to continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Atlassian Bamboo, etc).
    • Knowledge or experience in Firmware development.
    • Exposure to real-time operating systems.
