Impactful Contributions
• Set up and operate advanced CNC turning and milling machinery for high-precision production.
• Execute fundamental CNC programming related to machine operations.
• Adhere strictly to established manufacturing protocols, processes, and guidelines.
• Ensure all production tasks align with quality standards and environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Assist in production planning and prioritize tasks based on scheduled production timelines.
• Interpret technical specifications and assess the quality of ongoing production processes.
• Suggest procedural enhancements and implement necessary technical improvements.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance and repair techniques.
• Handle and maintain all tools and equipment with diligence and care.
• Uphold the health and safety standards for personnel, machinery, and facilities in accordance with company policies.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures in daily operations.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
• Valid trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner or Toolmaker is essential.
• Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Over 5 years of extensive experience with both conventional and CNC machinery, including high-precision surface and cylindrical grinders, EDM Wire Cutters, and turning and milling machines.
• Proficient in operating machines with Fanuc controls.
• Familiarity with various CNC controllers, such as Siemens and HAAS, is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to consistently machine to tolerances within 0.01mm accuracy.
• Comprehensive knowledge of operational principles, procedures, and routines in production machinery.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Competent in computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Outlook.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Availability for overtime and standby as needed.
• Residing in the local area with reliable transportation is preferred.
