RISK INTERNSHIP

General


The internship program within the Security and Risk Management Department will include the monitoring of fleet movement to ensure safety, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and prevent incidents.

The intern reports directly to the Security and Risk Manager.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring convoys and ensuring SOPs are adhered to;
  • Tracking of vehicles;
  • Following emergency procedure protocols;
  • Making sure that the controllers, report any incidents, Alerts on ME pull reports daily;
  • Coordinate convoy allocations together with the Operations Department, and allocating of convoys to the controllers;
  • Manage and report incidents and accidents on FMS;
  • Attend to any other assigned tasks as per instruction from Management;
  • CCTV monitoring, ensuring all Cameras are in working condition. And reporting any issues to the control room manager;
  • Ensure that the site security follows the SOP, Liaising any queries and incidents to the manager.
  • Random spot checks to be done on controllers' tracking sheets, to ensure updates are being done accurately;
  • Doing health checks on tracking units, and reporting to the manager should any tracking units require repairs;
  • Assisting with the issuing of access cards and Biometrics;
  • Ensure that the controllers get regular updates from the escort companies, of convoys being escorted; and report any issues to the manager;
  • Identifying any stops made by drivers in a certain area to identify hot spots and patterns occurring; and
  • Tracking of vehicles going NB/SB and following up with drivers if any irregular stops are made.

Hard Skills - Background / Technical Competencies

  • Academic Background: Grade 12 National Senior Certificate. A tertiary qualification in Risk Management would be an advantage.
  • Experience (min/max): Any experience within the Transport / Tracking / Control Room industry would be an advantage.
  • IT knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Others: English good level of the English language, both written and spoken;
  • Time availability

Job Types:

Contract length: 12 months


Pay:
R8 000,00 per month


Ability to Relocate:

  • Olifantsfontein, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (required)
