HR Officer


Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding processes, including orientation sessions, paperwork completion, and training coordination.

Employee Relations:

  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote positive employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and teambuilding initiatives.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Support career development initiatives, including performance reviews and individual development plans.

Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance appraisal processes to ensure fair and consistent evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance improvement plans and goal setting.

Policy Implementation:

  • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies and employee handbooks as needed.

Disciplinary Procedures:

  • Implement disciplinary procedures as outlined in company policies and in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct or performance issues, and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR functions, policies, procedures, and disciplinary processes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Computer Literate
  • Proficiency in speaking English & Zulu
