Our client, a leading company in retail/hospitality sector are urgently looking for sales consultants to join their team in Cape Town.

The applicant must be a self-starter, have the desire and eagerness to learn and grow and be a people's person.

Responsibilities required but not limited to the following:

selling and promoting food products

- marketing and cold calling to generate new business leads - customers, restuarants, retailers, etc
- maintain existing client pipeline and provide outstanding customer service
- increase revenue through meeting and exceeding targets
- attend weekly sales meetings
- product presentation
- attend site meetings and reporting
- attend to walk in clients
- take orders if needed
- pro-forma invoicing if required
- deliver samples and small orders if necessary
- hand and resolve client problems
- give advise on products and food prep
- follow up on all calls, leads, samples, orders, invoices, etc
- monitor the market and keep an eye on competition

Qualifications and Experience:

35 years sales experience
35 years customer service

- diploma in business management or equivalent

Skills and Attributes:

- must be a good communicator
- must have excellent listening skills and be able to identify customer needs and concerns
- able to build lasting business relationships with clients - new and existing
- be able to respond promptly and providing outstanding customer service
- must be highly motivated, disciplined and have good product knowledge
- be a team player
- have a positive attitude

Salary:

R15 000pm negotiable depending on experience + commission (benefits to be discussed with successful applicant)
