    Job Description

    The Human Resources Manager will focus on strategic human resources initiatives, supporting the business strategic plans, including talent management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Driving Strategic Initiatives: Implement and drive human resources strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Advisory Support: Provide line managers with in-depth understanding of policies, procedures, labour legislation, and related processes.
    • Leadership and Management: Effectively manage the Human Resources function, providing leadership and direction to the team.
    • Employment Equity: Implement employment equity plans in line with the strategic business plan.
    • HR Information and Metrics: Contribute to and analyze relevant HR information and metrics to influence management decisions positively.
    • Team Processes: Promote and facilitate team processes, including performance management at operations level.
    • HR Process Design: Influence the design and management of HR processes to ensure the business remains agile and responsive to human capital requirements.
    • Employee Relations: Implement the group employee relations strategy at operational level, engaging with labour unions and community structures.
    • Dispute Resolution: Manage dispute resolution, including Labour Court cases.
    • Labour Legislation: Apply labour legislation in relation to discipline, dismissals, etc.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Recruitment and Selection: Support line management in recruitment and selection of staff.
    • Resourcing:
    • Identify key roles in operations to ensure the business is appropriately resourced.
    • Changing Resourcing Needs: Respond proactively to changing resourcing needs and promote the business as an employer of choice.
    • Recruitment Risk: Ensure internal adherence to controls to minimize recruitment risk.
    • Retailation Strategy: Manage and implement retention strategies at operational level.
    • People Development Strategies: Manage the implementation of people development strategies at operational level, including driver training, supervisory, and management development.
    • Information Collation: Ensure accurate and reliable information is collated for management reporting purposes.
