Description

SHE Management:


Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of a safety, risk, security, health, and environmental management programme in the workplace.

Facilitate the management of the health and safety system requirement, and awareness thereof.
Develop and implement safe working practices and safe work procedures
Continually monitor, measure and trend the plant performances to highlight and reduce risk and concerns.
Oversee contractors providing SHE services.
Advise on the SHE requirements for new projects and developments.
Maintain and update site CIP

SHE Management System:
Monitor and maintain the SHE management system
Update and create monthly Group electronic or otherwise SHE reports.

SHE Audits:
Be the management representative for the ISO 14001 and OHAS 18001 system
Conduct, report and follow up on a pre-use, safety and/or audit inspection including Risk control.
Analyse, SHE audits results and make recommendations and drive closure of findings


Risk Management:
Manage and implement a risk management program that is in-line with Business SHE requirements
Facilitate action teams and improvement programs to continually improve upon identified risks.

Risk Assessment:
Address safety, health and environment requirement and hazards in a technical context.


Emergencies:
Maintain and update the emergency action plan
Liaise with emergency authorities relating to site safety
Monitor and control emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus, spills kits, etc.)
Respond to, implement, and manage emergencies according to an emergency action plan.
Assist in properties management


Incident/ Accident investigations:
Coordinate incident/accident investigations and conduct investigations into workplace incidents.
Make recommendations and manage the implementation of corrective actions.

Information Management and Direction Focusing:
Complete the plant SHE Matrix and manage SHE information, awareness and understanding.

Security Management:
Assume overall responsibility for integrity of the Site security system
Conduct security investigations and liaise with the local authority as required.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelors degree or national diploma in Safety Management
  • ISO 1400 (Internal Auditor)
  • Minimum 5 years SHE experiences
  • SAMTRAC
