    Senior Professional Nurse

    Our client, a highly regarded private hospital, is seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Senior Professional Nurse. The role involves ensuring a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in coordinating patient care and managing the unit.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with a multi-professional team to deliver high-quality nursing care.
    • Identify and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
    • Create a conducive environment for patients, enhancing their overall experience.
    • Accurately maintain comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
    • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance staff competence.
    • Ensure accurate charging of used stock and equipment.

    Job Requirements

    • Hold a degree or diploma in General Nursing.
    • Be qualified in Midwifery.
    • Hold a postgraduate certificate or diploma in a relevant specialty area.
    • Have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.

    Essential Skills and Knowledge

    • Pharmacology principles.
    • Effective nursing record keeping.
    • Understanding of nursing processes and procedures.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation.
    • Infection prevention and control measures.
    • Scientific nursing principles and processes.
    • Audit skills for patient records.
    • Patient assessment techniques.
    • Nursing care plan development and modification.
    • Scope of practice for nurse practitioners.
    • Advanced life support training (for specialized wards).
    • Risk identification and analysis.
    • Basic life support training.
    • Mentorship skills.
