General Summary
The Consultant provides support throughout customer implementation, ongoing support and process improvement. They are focused on building expertise in all products that SCJ sells and delivering that expertise to end customers
Principal Duties and Responsibilities/knowledge
- Performs testing, configuration, deployment, detailed design, ongoing process improvement, training, and ongoing support in a timely manner.
- Support multiple clients remotely and where necessary on site with the customer project and support team.
- Proactively troubleshoots and resolves support request that arise during the implementation and support cycle. Updates and maintains the customer tickets list, which includes prioritizing and closing off the support requests.
- Works with customer to test and implement interfaces between Manhattan products or external systems
- Participates in project status and support meetings
- Can write reports, queries, and extracts in a timely manner to provide the customer with accurate, relevant performance information
- Provides ongoing mentoring and training to the customer on basic system usage and operations
- Monitor, update and follow up on Customer Tickets logged via Service management software of SCJ
- As and when necessary, assist the project team with new project implementations for project tasks, go live activities and post implementation support.
- Accurate and timely completion of timesheets in accordance with the tasks completed
- Individual Independent Contributor and may review the work of others
- Meets utilization expectations
- Intermediate Level professional consultant
- 24 years of experience in a Software Consulting Implementation and/or Software support role required
- BS/BA or higher in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
- Experience in understanding of operational supply chain and warehouse management systems
- Adheres to best practice processes and procedures
- Clear, proactive communication is key
- Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments that have a direct impact on customer operations. Receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues
- Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause direct issues in customer operations and
Problem Complexity/Decision-Making Authority
- Performs professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly defined issues. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve
- Plans most aspects of work within specified deadlines with some need to change the priorities
- Independently completes tasks at hand
- Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular product or platform to the completion of moderately complex assignments
- Has basic to midlevel knowledge of additional products or platforms (IBM Cognos, Microsoft SQL)
- Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures and functions
- Microsoft Excel and Data Analysis
- Responds to client requests for information in a timely and clear manner
- Participates in training to enhance skills necessary to be a valuable team member
- Assists with practice administrative tasks (time and forecast entry)
Salary:
From R30,000.00 per month
